Painters and Decorators - Gold Coast

The Gold Coast is really up there when it comes to decorating trends. Out of all the trades it's up to painters and decorators to implement the final piece of the puzzle and make everyone's work before them look spectacular.

Painters and Decorators on the Gold Coast enjoy a large range of work. There are many new developments aswell as many people renovating older homes. The style is very contemporary, using a lot of neutral tones and natural materials. Not only do painters and decorators apply paint as a way of protecting and sealing surfaces but also as a decorating style. This may be in the form of a feature wall, a stippled ceiling or wallpaper to name a few.

Painters and decorators can also advise on colours and the most appropriate paint to use if a sopecial finish is required. Colour is so important when choosing a decorating style, it's the thing that creates a mood or atmosphere of a home. One feature wall of a special finish can look magic when used in the right colour and in the right light.

Wallpaper is another decorating tool that is back in vogue once again. Don't think about the wallpapers of years gone by. Today's wallpapers are absolutely fabulous and when used in just the right alcove or on one particular wall can knock your socks off. It's so easy to create an individual style with all the colour and designs available these days.

Of course to really get the full impact of a special finish or a beautiful wallpaper it has to be applied properly. If a professional isn't used for these special techniques it could end up looking a big mess and end up costing you twice as much. Wow Painting and Decorating, Gold Coast Painters and Decorators are experienced in all aspects of painting and applying special finishes. Choosing A Gold Coast Painter

At Wow Painting and Decorating we understand how important it is to get it right when choosing a Gold Coast Painter. For that matter when choosing any trade or service.

For starters it's important to feel secure in the knowledge that your painting contractor will be professional, efficient and deliver a superb paint finish without leaving your home in a mess. On top of that you want a fair quote not some overpriced ridiculous fee.

Professional painters are usually easy to pick. Firstly it's a must that they be licensed with the QBSA. Secondly the number of years the painter has been in business is a good indication of how professional he/she is.

Efficiency is also very important. When hiring a Gold Coast painter you should have a written quote and a contract. Nobody wants an unprofessional team of painters on their property for weeks on end. Efficient painters arrive with all tools and materials ready and systematically attack the job in such an order to finish in the quickest possible time.

The proof is in the pudding so the finished product says it all. A professional paint job stands out. The surface preparation is extremely important when it comes to painting. There is no comparison between a professional paint job and a diy job.

Of course at the end you want your home to be looking like it should be in the pages of Home Beautiful. Wow Painting and Decorating leave your home in showroom condition with not a drop of paint left anywhere except where it should be.

Wow Painting and Decorating will be only too happy to save you time and money when Choosing Gold Coast Painters

Wow Painting and Decorating - Gold Coast Painters

My name is Henry Laker, I'm a Gold Coast Painter and the owner of Wow Painting and Decorating. I am married and have six children altogether, 4 boys and 2 girls. My oldest son is married and has just finished his Electrician apprenticeship, my second oldest son is just about to start his Painting apprenticeship with me. My eldest daughter is happy in Building Material sales and my younger daughter is studying Natural Medicine. That leaves my two youngest sons, 14 and 11 years old who are still at school and not sure where their aspirations lie just yet.

For myself, right from an early age I discovered that I was very good at building, creating and fixing things. It didn't matter whether it was knocking out walls to renovate a house, installing a kitchen, laying tiles, building pergolas, fixing the engines of cars and yes, painting, I seemed to have a knack for anything I laid my hands on.

I was able to secure a Painting apprenticeship at a young age and from that time onwards have always been involved in the building industry.

I quickly discovered that there is a lot more to painting than meets the eye. I could ramble on forever about different paint techniques and how this paint should be used for that and the preparation has to be done this way but I'd hate to bore you into a sleep induced state so I'll just say I learnt everything there is to know about painting.

I like working for myself and knowing that I'm totally responsible for all jobs. I get to know the clients first hand and build a relationship of trust with them. It's important to me that people are comfortable with everything to do with their painting job, whether it's a small repaint or a million dollar waterfront mansion.

There are a lot of decisions to be made when painting because most times the painter is the last of all the trades to come into a house and finish it off. It's us who pulls the whole job together with the colour on the wall and give the house it's final look. Our if it's a repaint it's the painters that give the house a fresh facelift.

I love being able to consult with clients about colour. If a client has a colour in mind that's great but sometimes thay need a few suggestions here and there. I always know the best colours and whether to use full strength or half strength, I make sure I'm on top of all the latest trends and colours. There's always a new trend when it comes to painting whether it be colours, products or different decorative finishes.

Another thing I'm big on with my business is reliability. I know for myself that reliable tradesman are as rare as hens' teeth. How many times have you waited for a tradesman to show up but he never does and to top it off there's not even a courtesy phone call. I don't do that to my clients. I'm reliable and I realise my clients are paying for a service, a service I pride myself on delivering to perfection.

I like to post my prices on our website, that way people can get a rough idea on what their paint job will cost. This cuts out a lot of time for the client and myself so when I do give them a quote they should already have an idea anyway. This allows me to spend a bit more time discussing finishes and colours and answering any questions the client might have.

I'm proud of Wow Painting and Decorating, we really do deliver the "Wow Factor". We are reliable and honest and nothing makes me happier than to see happy clients. After all if a client is happy with a job we usually find they will recommend us to others. Nothing speaks louder than a referral from a happy client.
