Gold Coast Wallpaper Hanging - Wow Painting and Decorating

As painters and decorators, we have to stay on top of the latest decorating trends. Wallpaper on the Gold Coast is definitely in as a way to accentuate your own personal style. It's amazing to think that wallpaper has made a comeback. We all tend to think of wallpaper as a ghastly decorating style from the 60's and 70's and let's face it. it was.

Today however wallpaper is anything but ghastly. Gold Coast wallpaper is being used in some of the most up market homes, businesses and hotels. It's a trend that is set to take off in a big way.Feature walls using paint and special finishes are making a big impact to stylise our homes. Wallpaper can do the same thing but even better because of the numerous designs available.

Every look, style, theme, colour, pattern and design is catered for. There are wallpapers that give an instant french provincial look, contemporary, tuscan or4 retro. In fact whtever the atmosphere you are trying to create, there will be the perfect wallpaper.

Wallpaper has always been huge in Europe and as we know the Europeans are reknowned for their style and elegance whether it is in fashion, decorating or even designing cars. Most of the wallpapers available these days are made from the finest quality paper and some even use natural fibres. The point is they are nothing like their outdated 70's cousins.

Wow Painting and Decorating can easily hang the wallpaper of your choice as we have years of experience. Wallpaper hanging is a definite skill and while some people may attempt painting it is not advised to attempt to hang wallpaper. Obviously the surface preparation has to be A1 but working quickly with the glue and lining the paper up perfectly are skills that take years to perfect.

Please see our main wallpaper website at Wow Wallpaper Hanging where we service both the Gold Coast and Brisbane in wallpaper installation.

Gold Coast wallpaper hanging should be handled by the experts. So if you're after the right person for the job don't hesitate to call Wow Painting and Decorating, Gold Coast Painters and Decorators.

Gold Coast Painters deliver the "Wow Factor"

Wow Painting and Decorating are Gold Coast Painters that have been part of the building industry on the Gold Coast for twenty years. We've seen painters come and go so we know what makes a successful business.

We believe everyone wants a reliable and honest service. Nobody wants to be ripped off and most people appreciate honest advice when it comes to painting.

If we think there is a cheaper way for our clients to get what they want out of their paint job we will advise them on that. Sometimes it might just be that spraying is the best option rather than brushing which will save the client in labour costs.

Whatever the case may be we will advise our clients every step of the way. If there is a better suited finish or colour that's where our many years of experience come in. Not only that but we strive to have the job done in a really well organised manner that will cut down on time while still delivering a perfectly finished paint job. No job is too big or too small for Wow Painting and Decorating.

There's nothing better for us than to see a happy face on the client when the job has been completed. This is where we get our satisfaction and to be honest a lot of our referrals. A job well done speaks for itself.

Painting gives you the best renovating results for your money but only if done professionally. On the Gold Coast there are lots of modern contemporary homes with the latest colour schemes but also many older homes being renovated. No matter what the home may be we can assure you of our expertise in all the latest techniques, trends and products.

Using the best quality paints is crucial to a well done paint job. The right paint will last for years not only looking good but protecting the surface it is applied to. Exterior paints are usually more expensive but they need to be of the highest quality especially on the Gold Coast where our weather can be so harsh.

Gold Coast Painters absolutely must be licensed. Wow Painting and Decorating are professional licensed painters ready to transform your home into something to say "WOW" about.

Choosing A Gold Coast Painter

At Wow Painting and Decorating we understand how important it is to get it right when choosing a Gold Coast Painter. For that matter when choosing any trade or service.

For starters it's important to feel secure in the knowledge that your painting contractor will be professional, efficient and deliver a superb paint finish without leaving your home in a mess. On top of that you want a fair quote not some overpriced ridiculous fee.

Professional painters are usually easy to pick. Firstly it's a must that they be licensed with the QBSA. Secondly the number of years the painter has been in business is a good indication of how professional he/she is.

Efficiency is also very important. When hiring a Gold Coast painter you should have a written quote and a contract. Nobody wants an unprofessional team of painters on their property for weeks on end. Efficient painters arrive with all tools and materials ready and systematically attack the job in such an order to finish in the quickest possible time.

The proof is in the pudding so the finished product says it all. A professional paint job stands out. The surface preparation is extremely important when it comes to painting. There is no comparison between a professional paint job and a diy job.

Of course at the end you want your home to be looking like it should be in the pages of Home Beautiful. Wow Painting and Decorating leave your home in showroom condition with not a drop of paint left anywhere except where it should be.

Wow Painting and Decorating will be only too happy to save you time and money when Choosing Gold Coast Painters

Wow Painting and Decorating - Gold Coast Painters

My name is Henry Laker, I'm a Gold Coast Painter and the owner of Wow Painting and Decorating. I am married and have six children altogether, 4 boys and 2 girls. My oldest son is married and has just finished his Electrician apprenticeship, my second oldest son is just about to start his Painting apprenticeship with me. My eldest daughter is happy in Building Material sales and my younger daughter is studying Natural Medicine. That leaves my two youngest sons, 14 and 11 years old who are still at school and not sure where their aspirations lie just yet.

For myself, right from an early age I discovered that I was very good at building, creating and fixing things. It didn't matter whether it was knocking out walls to renovate a house, installing a kitchen, laying tiles, building pergolas, fixing the engines of cars and yes, painting, I seemed to have a knack for anything I laid my hands on.

I was able to secure a Painting apprenticeship at a young age and from that time onwards have always been involved in the building industry.

I quickly discovered that there is a lot more to painting than meets the eye. I could ramble on forever about different paint techniques and how this paint should be used for that and the preparation has to be done this way but I'd hate to bore you into a sleep induced state so I'll just say I learnt everything there is to know about painting.

I like working for myself and knowing that I'm totally responsible for all jobs. I get to know the clients first hand and build a relationship of trust with them. It's important to me that people are comfortable with everything to do with their painting job, whether it's a small repaint or a million dollar waterfront mansion.

There are a lot of decisions to be made when painting because most times the painter is the last of all the trades to come into a house and finish it off. It's us who pulls the whole job together with the colour on the wall and give the house it's final look. Our if it's a repaint it's the painters that give the house a fresh facelift.

I love being able to consult with clients about colour. If a client has a colour in mind that's great but sometimes thay need a few suggestions here and there. I always know the best colours and whether to use full strength or half strength, I make sure I'm on top of all the latest trends and colours. There's always a new trend when it comes to painting whether it be colours, products or different decorative finishes.

Another thing I'm big on with my business is reliability. I know for myself that reliable tradesman are as rare as hens' teeth. How many times have you waited for a tradesman to show up but he never does and to top it off there's not even a courtesy phone call. I don't do that to my clients. I'm reliable and I realise my clients are paying for a service, a service I pride myself on delivering to perfection.

I like to post my prices on our website, that way people can get a rough idea on what their paint job will cost. This cuts out a lot of time for the client and myself so when I do give them a quote they should already have an idea anyway. This allows me to spend a bit more time discussing finishes and colours and answering any questions the client might have.

I'm proud of Wow Painting and Decorating, we really do deliver the "Wow Factor". We are reliable and honest and nothing makes me happier than to see happy clients. After all if a client is happy with a job we usually find they will recommend us to others. Nothing speaks louder than a referral from a happy client. Gold Coast Residential Painting

It's easy to imagine painting your own house after all it's easy right? Slap on a bit of paint and presto, but presto can easily turn into messo if you don't know what you're doing. It's true anyone can paint a house but if it's a million dollar finish you're after then you might be disappointed.

Firstly the materials you choose make a huge difference. Cheap paints will give a cheap finish and won't last. Not only that, grubby marks just won't wipe off. It's best to go with the best quality paint you can afford. They have a top notch finish and are more resistant to wear and tear. Of course it's not just the paint but the choice of rollers and brushes. Cheap inferior brushes will leave brush strokes and possibly even paint hairs in the finish.

Secondly the preparation is one of the most important steps to painting. If you cut corners with the prep it will definately show. All plastering, filling, sanding and gapping have to be done to perfection to get that mirror finish at the end. Using gloss paints is especially tricky. Gloss is usually used on frames and doors and is very unforgiving if not applied properly.

Thirdly there's a lot of physical effort involved in painting. Loading a heavy roller with paint and rolling walls all day is equivalent to a gym workout for your arms. Then if it's a step class you're after then up and down ladders all day will give you that. Don't forget to cover any furnishings with drop sheets and be vigilent in cleaning up any paint spills and splatters.

If all of that sounds too hard then Wow Painting and Decorating can take control of your paint job. We are professional Gold Coast Painters fully licensed and ready to tackle any paint job. We are a family owned business with 20 years experience in all aspects of residential painting. We can give advice on colours and the best finishes to suit your home. We are experts at organising everything to make sure your experience of repainting, renovating or completely painting a new house goes smoothly and effortlessy.

We pride ourselves on reliability and honesty. Our clients matter to us so we work hard to deliver the best paint job with professional flawless finishes. When we leave your home you can be sure that your home will be in prize home condition, no mess, no fuss.

We can handle all interior and exterior finishes when it comes to Residential Painting. Just ask us what we can do for you.

Gold Coast Painting Services

At Wow Painting and Decorating we specialize in all areas of residential and commercial painting. Our Gold Coast Painting services include interior and exterior painting of new and existing properties.
Interior painting is often thought to be an easy diy job but if it's a professional finish you're after then hiring an expert is best. Licensed painters are equipped with the best quality tools and materials. Surface preparation is crucial to the perfect finish. Glossing doors and frames is fiddly and if not done right will be very noticable. When repainting every nail hole, dent and scratch has to be filled in to perfection otherwise the finish won't be smooth. If it's a special finish such as a feature wall or suade that's required it's important to know what you're doing. Cutting in a differnt colour for a feature wall requires a steady hand.
Exterior painting is probably more time consuming and does require a lot of ladder climbing. There's usually more than one colour involved including the gutters and eaves. Also it might be a rendered texture or sand paint finish that's needed.
There are so many differnt finishes when painting and differnt method of applying that finsh.
